Streamlining Europcar’s B2B servicing portal

Overview

Europcar partners with insurance companies to provide rental vehicles when the insured parties require a replacement vehicle in the event of an accident. Each of the insurers have unique rules and fields which they capture when creating a reservation with Europcar. This was managed on 7 different systems.

Entelect was tasked with creating a single, dynamic platform that can onboard new insurers with minimal development effort, as well as manage all existing insurers on a single platform.

Requested reservations are managed by various users from 3rd party insurance call centre agents, Europcar’s own call centre, customer care, and branch agents.

A key driver for the project is speed to market for new insurers and operational efficiency in the call centre by having teams service multiple 3rd party insurers on a single system instead of having dedicated teams per system and insurer.
